Berger, NHLBI, was on the Symposium Committee, Fifth Symposium on Temperature, Washington, DC, June 21-24, 1971 by the American Institute of Physics, the Instrument Society of America, and the National Bureau of Standards. "The adoption of the International Practical Temperature Scale of 1968...was for precision thermometry the most noteworthy event that has occured in the last few decades," p. iii.
Berger was an editor of the volumes and had two articles included in Part 3. "Clinical Thermometry Round Table" (page 2125) and "Thermal Sensor Coatings Suitable for Rapid Response Biomedical lApplications" (page 2169).
